Tangy Rasam

Peppery and earthy coriander notes make this an excellent meat rub. This PODI is the central spice blend used to create Rasam, Chaaru, Saaru - the heartiest, quintessential tangy clear acidic broth soup of South India - it is a hug on a nippy day and is known to have magical sinus-clearing properties.  

Our PODI helps you make this dish in a jiffy. Don't forget to use ghee for tempering - and add fresh curry leaves, freshly crushed garlic, and a drizzle of hing/asafoetida in your tempering!

 

Ingredients: toor dal/pigeon peas, coriander seeds, black pepper, cumin seeds, red chili, curry leaves, turmeric, crystal salt
