Our household is a big dosa fan and all kinds of them so after going through many pans I feel I have landed on the one to keep and cherish forever! They say it is all in the details and I see the thoughtfulness and craftsmanship behind this product. From the thickness of the pan to the length of the brass utensils! Not to miss the cute illustrations on the box. I am keeping the box forever too:-) Thanks Alak for working so hard to give use a great product to use and cherish.
I was on the hunt for a good dosa pan and thats when I saw Podi life start a waitlist for the pan and utensil combo! Received my product in beautiful packaging and condition. They truly do look like heirloom pieces and are stunning in person. Used it this week to make dosa after doing the master class and it was amazing!! The chutneys were so yum that my kids licked it clean! The pan was easy to use and clean and dosa came out perfectly! We have been fans of the podi powder for a while now and my friend just requested it for her Christmas present list!

It was a surprise gift from my husband Murali who purchased this Dosa pan for me! The first time I tried making dosa on this pan, I couldn't believe how good and crispy dosas came out without much effort! I simply loved the pan and the accompanying utensils which are perfect for spreading and picking dosa from the pan. I also signed up for the master class to get any additional tips for making great dosas!
I took the class yesterday with Alak. It was great to get tips on making couple of unusual chutneys that go very well with the dosas. Also, learned a few tips on dosa making such as using only onion to run on the pan without oil to create non stick surface! And that covering the dosa cooks the top so don't need to flip the dosa over and many more tips. Thanks Alak for a wonderful class. It was great to get to know you.
I tried the Coriander podi yesterday: it arrived (so quickly!) along with my other items (Garlic podi and playing cards).
The coriander podi is absolutely scrumptious. It’s my new favorite. My husband loves both, and is partial to the garlic podi, so now we each have a favorite. :)
And as delicious as the product is, it also feels great to buy from a small business that makes a quality product, and a mother-daughter venture at that. The sustainable (entirely recyclable) packaging was great.

I know it’s pricey but this gorgeous trio has already felt worth it! I’ve been trying to make dosas in a cast iron skillet for years now and have immediately noticed a difference since using this dosa trio. Having a pan with such a shallow lip really helps with being able to angle your tools correctly and spread the batter well. It is absolutely worth it to have a custom trio if you plan to make dosas! The tools make it so easy to spread and flip dosas and the pan is seasoned beautifully! The masterclass was also an incredibly helpful starting point. Alak really took the time to troubleshoot with us individually and help us master the art of dosa making. After the class, it really felt like the technique clicked and I made perfectly thin crispy dosas for dinner that night!! I look forward to using it for years to come and hopefully passing it on one day!
This podi is the best gunpowder I have ever had in my life. It was gone within a week of my purchase. If you have never tried podis before, this should be your first sample. I am coming back over and over for this!
Spicy coconut, crispy garlic, and of gunpowder are my go-tos. My husband and I love to put the podis on everything, eggs, tofu, paneer and so much more. The flavors are elevated and just delicious! A must buy for sure!

I’ve been using on just about everything! Highly recommend! My favorite is the crispy chili garlic, but also love the rasam, peanut and sambar 🙌

Absolutely perfect garlic seasoning with the subtle hint of spice that is pleasing to the palate! Not a strong garlicky flavor so you can add garlic if that is your desire! Used this on my roast with salt and pepper/ Delicious!! It’s our go to spice right now!! Thank you for this amazing product!
According to my Bengali and Keralite neighbors, who lappped this podi with their finger tips at our masala dosa party, it’s the best podi they ever had and they wanted to know which store to go purchase more! I used the podi to spread Over dosa before potato palya went in, it elevated the dosa experience exponentially! I have plans of using this the next time with Akki rotti! Very fresh, fragrant and the small batch wonder hits all the right notes my dearies, don’t skip this podi, it’s truly South India in a bag! ❤️

all of the blends were so flavorful and adaptable to cook so many different things. I used it in stews, daal, marinades, dry rubs on ribs you name it! I'll be getting these for my family for the holidays!
